It’s hard to believe, but the summer pickleball season is nearly over. We have one more month of club play in its various forms, and then we will wind up the season with our annual picnic.
From 8:00am until 11:30am will be open play. When it gets busy enough, we will utilize our paddle board, with courts 1-4 designated for intermediate/advanced, courts 5-8 for beginner/intermediate players. Lunch, catered by Qdoba will be available from 11:30am until 12:30pm. This will be a chicken and pulled pork bar, including rice, beans, guacamole, lettuce, pico, corn salsa, red and green salsas, cheese, sour cream, chips, and their famous queso.
Door prizes will be raffled at 12:30pm. We have a significant number of Windsor businesses that have donated multiple prizes to our club. Places like; Freddy's Frozen Custard, Cancun Mexican Grill & Cantina, The Hearth Restaurant, Windsor Mill Tavern, Tiho's, Pelican Joe's Pizza, Cafe Mexicali, Pizza Vino NOCO. Highland Meadows Golf Course donated an 18 hole round of golf (with cart) for 2 players. That's nearly a $200 value. We also have a new Selkirk paddle to give away. Windsor DDA has 4 $25 certificates. Plus, free memberships for next year in the Windsor Pickleball Club. Your WPC board is hard at work, planning and securing more prizes, don't miss the final event of the year!
If you are willing to bring homemade baked goods to share with our club for dessert, please text Patti Cummings at 713-791-3190 (or email her at teeroyc@sbcglobal.net). The cost for lunch will be $10 per member; guests cost $15. Water will be provided—no alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your beverage of choice. Dessert will also be provided. Lunch is optional; you are still welcome to come and play and hang out with everyone!
